A: Typically, an individual session last 60 minutes and 90 minutes for EMDR.
Q: How much does a therapy session cost?
A: My flat fee for clients with no insurance is $100.00 per 60 minute session and $120 for 90 minute EMDR sessions.
Clients who have insurance are advised to call their carriers in order to find out what their outpatient therapy benefits are (co-pays, and/or applicable deductibles).

Q: What can I expect from my initial visit?
A: You and your therapist will discuss the primary issue why you are seeking therapy. Your therapist will explain expectations, rights, and obligations as well as the nature of the
papers you are singing. Upon your decision to continue treatment, the therapist will schedule subsequent appointments weekly or bi-weekly depending the severity of the issue.
Q: What if I don't like my therapist?
A: Therapy requires rapport and affinity between the parties. In the event you do not feel comfortable with your therapist please communicate this to the therapist in order to get a referral. Please note that the therapists time is valuable and if you are planning on discontinuing services you should let the therapist know at your earliest convenience.
Q: What is therapy?
A: Therapy is a PROCESS. The therapist will not have answers to all your questions on the first appointment and she will not perform a one-time appointment fix. Allow yourself time to discover answers through the therapeutic process. All of your progress really depends on your commitment to your therapy.
Q: When can I expect my therapist to return my call/e-mai?
A: You can expect your therapist to answer your call or email within the next 48 business hours.
If the call or e-mail is about imminent danger of harm, please contact 911.
Q: Can my therapist prescribe medication?
A: No. In most cases, you will be referred to a psychiatrist for psychotropic medication and prescription. You therapist will focus on providing you with psychotherapy services only.
